Surface preparation
Mold: wash with water and bleach in equal parts, wait 6 hours, rinse and dry completely. New render: wait 30 days to cure, or use a wall primer. On a dark tone like Meditation, any residual staining left from an incomplete mold treatment tends to read as an uneven patch once the topcoat dries, which is why the wait and rinse steps matter as much as the coat count itself.
