CERAMIC Technology is the core of Coral Decora Diamante, a premium acrylic semi-gloss paint built for high resistance, easy cleaning and a sophisticated finish. It gives walls a smoother touch, resulting in a more even, level film with more vivid colors, ideal for rooms that see frequent contact and cleaning.

Classified under ABNT NBR 11702, Type 4.5.10, in compliance with NBR 15079-2. Developed for interior wall decoration, with the option to also be used outdoors.

Technical data

Composition: modified acrylic resin, active and inert pigments, surfactants, coalescents, thickeners, microbicides, other additives and water. Volume solids of 33% to 39%; weight solids of 38% to 50%; viscosity of 82 to 125 KU; specific gravity of 1.077 to 1.280 g/cm³; VOC of 7.2 to 26.9 g/L; flash point above 100°C.

A study conducted by the Perception institute (report #14-41600-04/04-03-14-V01) found that 84.6% of surveyed consumers rated the odor as weak or absent within 3 hours of application, in a ventilated room.

Application

Coverage of up to 110 m² per 18 L container (98 m² for 16 L, 22 m² for 3.6 L, 19 m² for 3.2 L, 5.5 m² for 900 ml, 4.9 m² for 800 ml), which can vary depending on the surface type and color. Dilution of up to 20% (5 parts paint to 1 part potable water). 2 to 3 coats, applied with a short nap wool roller, spray gun, brush or trim brush. Touch-dry in 30 minutes, recoat time of 4 hours and final drying time of 4 hours.

Available in ready-mix colors (3.6 L and 18 L) and in the tinting system (800 mL, 3.2 L and 16 L).

Surface preparation

  • In good condition (painted or unpainted): sand and remove dust with a damp cloth.
  • Plaster, concrete or cement block: sand, remove dust and apply wall primer (except over skim coat plaster, which requires a specific product).
  • New render: wait at least 30 days, sand, remove dust and apply acrylic sealer; without that waiting period, apply wall primer instead.
  • Weak render, lime-painted walls or loose parts: remove loose material, sand, remove dust and apply wall primer.
  • Small imperfections: correct with interior or exterior filler before painting.
  • Mold: wash with an equal-parts water and bleach solution, wait 6 hours, rinse and let dry completely before painting.
  • Moisture: resolve the underlying cause before painting.
  • Gloss: sand until the gloss is removed and remove dust.
  • Grease: wash with water and neutral detergent, rinse and let dry completely.
  • Do not apply on rainy days, at temperatures below 10°C or above 40°C, or when relative humidity is above 85%.
